Php 2:1  AMP So by whatever [appeal to you there is in our mutual dwelling in Christ, by whatever] strengthening and consoling and encouraging [our relationship] in Him [affords], by whatever persuasive incentive there is in love, by whatever participation in the [Holy] Spirit [we share], and by whatever depth of affection and compassionate sympathy,
Php 2:2  Fill up and complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and of one harmonious mind and intention.

G4856 συμφωνω sumphōneō soom-fo-neh'-o  Strong’s
From G4859; to be harmonious, that is, (figuratively) to accord (be suitableconcur) or stipulate (by compact):—agree (together, with).

I promised to speak to you about Harmony. Actually, my Dad and I will be speaking to you, as what follows is his teaching with some of my thoughts and notes thrown in.

Apostle  Rusty Bowles:
What about this Greek word translated ‘agree’? It is where we get the word symphony from.  In a symphony the instruments agree but do not have the same notes.  It takes all of them, playing the same piece of music AND playing in the same key under ONE director to produce beauty.  The bassoon agrees with the trumpet but does not sound anything like it.  As a matter of fact, if one does not have all the voices, the resulting music will be hollow.  I use to hate playing symphonic music when I was in high school.  I was arrogant and played first chair trumpet for three years.  I did not want to play anything that I did not have the lead on.  Playing a few notes and then waiting several measures was not my style. It took a long talk with my band teacher for me to give up and join the symphonic band, and for me to ‘agree’ with the other instruments AND follow the director. See, I thought I knew best,  but remember I was very arrogant then and only wanted my own way.

We have many in ministry that have this same attitude.  No one wants to play the bass parts although those unglamorous parts are the very foundation that a symphony is built on. No one wants the second or third parts because they are not glamorous.  Lone ranger ministries are much like this and have no accountability to anyone or they tend to go off on their own thing if they are not tightly reined in.  Agreement is where each one is carrying his own load so that no one has to do extra in order to get the job done.

On the praise team are you in one mind and one accord? Is there agreement? Does everyone respect each other?  Do you want to be a harmonious praising machine, or just sing a few songs? For instance, if one person is playing in the key of C and the other person decides to play in the key of A will it be good?  Is one person directing or is it kind of open and without direction?  What if the musicians are playing a certain song and the singers are singing a totally different song that has a different beat and rhythm, what will happen? What would that sound like?  Would YOU like to hear that “music?’  I don’t think it will sound like music will it?

Let me give you another scenario, what if the whole praise team is on track and flowing in the Spirit and the preacher decides to get up and start preaching in the middle of worship?  I tell you that will quench the Spirit! We must each respect each other, respect the flow of God in and through each other and let GOD use each other to bring the whole of the body into a place of Harmony and seeking Him together!

What about those who translate for me? (Remember, I pastor a multicultural, bilingual church!)  What if they decide that what I am saying is not good and so just start preaching their own sermon?

So what am I getting at here?  What I am asking is are we- ALL OF US,  pulling together or pulling apart?

Are we in harmony or disharmony? Do we make a beautiful symphony or just loud jarring  noise?   What baggage (weights and sins, and hurts, etc.)  are we bringing to church with us? And are we willing to put them down at the cross and leave them there?  Or do we want to carry a suitcase of competition, jealousy, envy, insecurity and hurts around with us every where we go?
Nancy:
Okay, Dad has brought up so very valid and thought provoking points here!  He actually did this teaching partially in response to some questions I put to him and he and I had a long talk about the power of agreement, and agreeing in prayer with someone, and being in Harmony, etc.
Our Scriptures in Phil. talk about Partnership and Harmony.  Our own bodies are an example of partnership and harmony!

Our body is a collection of different parts; lungs, heart, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, liver, stomach, blood, etc.
Have you ever eaten something that was spoiled? Your stomach began to hurt, you felt sick, you began to sweat, maybe throw up; but at any rate your whole body rushes to support and help the stomach!  Your eyes see and your ears hear. But did you know there are little hairs inside your ears that help you keep your balance?  Did you know that there are these nuero transmitters hooked up to your eyes and your ears?  And if something affects the ear canals, or affects your eyes’ ability to synchronize motion around you and process it correctly, if either of these two functions gets out of balance, you will be SO dizzy, throwing up and staggering around like a drunken person!  ( I know, I have had both of them affected by viruses before!)

So each limb, each part must work TOGETHER with the rest, in HARMONY for us to continue living and being well and joyful.  Example;  you have 4 chambers in your heart, and if they do not pump the blood in harmony and with the correct rhythm,  you stand a chance of dying!

Likewise, if we do not strive to walk and work in harmony, (each doing his/her own part and at the right time) then WE as the Body of Christ, stand a chance of dying before our time and with out making the impact that we could have made in winning souls to Christ and expanding the Kingdom of God.  We will wear each other out by causing the other to carry a heavier load  than what they should!  But on the other hand, if we each do the task that God puts on our heart to do, and we do it with all our might, and yet find time to speak Grace and encouragement to our brothers and sisters, THAT my dear ones is KINGDOM EXPANSION and KINGDOM DYNAMICS!

This is what Jesus came to deliver! God’s way of doing and being right!  Relationship, Righteousness, Restoration, and Revelation.  HE tore down every dividing wall.  He made us ONE by the Cross and His Blood.  And He gave us all power and authority to operate in and under His Name and Authority  to proclaim the Good News, that He made the way for us to come Home to the Father. To Live as a King’s Kid. To rule and Reign as Kings before Him and Unto Him and FOR Him, here in this earth.  Not in competition, but in completion of the work He gave us to do TOGETHER!

And now as we prepare to Celebrate Christmas, to remember that Jesus stripped Himself of all the glory of Heaven and took on the glorious form of mere man so that we can take on the Image of CHRIST! (Which, by the way, was the original image that God gave to us!  Gen. 1:26 Let us make man in OUR image…)

I trust this has been helpful to you?  I could write more, but I suggest you meditate and study it out for yourselves!

Meanwhile, my Dad, my husband Tom and myself wish each of you a powerful Christmas celebration, packed with His power and His Presence and overflowing with His Love and His Goodness!  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We love you and Bless You in Jesus Name.  Amen!

Nov 17, 2012

Greetings dear ones, so beloved of God!  I bring you Apostolic blessing.  I trust this finds you all well and eagerly anticipating God.  Let us open the Word together today and be refreshed, shall we?  Good!

Let’s talk about expectation and focus.

Here in America, next week is a most beloved tradition. It is called Thanksgiving. It is a day set aside on which we are to reflect over the past year of God’s goodness and grace and provision to us.  It is a day of feasting  and American football for many.  It is the most traveled holiday as people traverse the nation to get “home” to be with their family for this day.  We remember how the pilgrims endured great hardships and buried so many of their fellow travelers. Yet, they persevered and that first harvest they celebrated with roasted turkey, vegetables, and friendship with the native Indians.  Therefore, we remember and celebrate with friends and family.  There is expectation of a wonderful time together and the focus is on preparing this special meal.  (It SHOULD be on the Lord, but for most it is on the food.)

Psalm 27:14 declares plainly; “What, what would have become of me, had I NOT EXPECTED to see the Lord in the land of the living?”

Philippians4:8 is an old favorite:  For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, whatsoever modest, if there is any virtue and excellence, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatsoever things are noble,  whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatsoever things are amiable, whatsoever things are  of good report, whatsoever of good fame, whatever things are of value, give thought to these things. If there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious--the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

When you get up in the morning, what do you expect out of your day?  When you stand to preach, what have you envisioned already in your mind?  Are you expecting God to show up?  Have you given due diligence and now you just throw yourself on God with expectation that HE will show up and show off?   If not, then WHY not?

God has already given us a checklist He has told us that as a man (or woman) thinks in their heart they become. Think angry, bitter thoughts and you are headed towards becoming a bitter, angry, venomous old man! Old before your time.  Plus, any Divine intervention, you would probably miss it!

This doesn’t mean that you pretend there are no problems and close your eyes to things around you. You just choose not to focus on it or to be absorbed with it.  When you absorb something, you take it in to yourself and it becomes a part of you.  Plants absorb sunshine and give off oxygen. If you absorb negativity, you give off doubt.  Instead, how lovely to think on the things the Lord has chosen for us to dwell on.  No stinking thinking there!

Song of Solomon tells us that we are the Lord’s garden.  So what are you planting in that garden?  The Holy Spirit Himself has taken up residency inside of you!  What kind of living conditions are you providing for Him?  Today, let us purpose to fill our hearts with thanksgiving and praise and our minds with true, lovely, honest and pure things!  There are enough bad things in the world without us filling our thoughts with them!  Instead, plant kindness, and goodness, and virtue, and praise and let them spring forth into a glorious harvest of life changing thoughts and dreams!  Make your garden a place where dreams and miracles thrive.  Live in the possibility zone!  With God, ALL things ARE Possible!  So confidently expect to see the Lord in the land of the living!  Just today I read this little devotional thought and it so fit in with my message to you! So, I am enclosing it also.  Keep focused!  Keep looking up!  Not down in defeat.  If God be for you, who can be against you?  Question is, do you believe that God IS FOR you?

I challenge you to a fast of no negative thoughts or words for 40 days.!  Lets end this year by being transformed in our minds and thoughts, giving ourselves over to God thoughts and ideas.

These declarations are taken from Igniting Faith in 40 Days.  Use them daily.

Love, Mummy Nancy

Declarations:  (Romans 4:17; Romans 10:9, 10) These ten basic declarations (confessions) are foundational to the building of your faith. They will increase your expectancy of God's goodness; and, thus, will increase the manifestation of that goodness in your life. Jesus said, "According to your faith, so be it" (Matthew 8:13). Say these (and the other declaration lists) every day for a month and see what happens to your life. It will be exciting!

1. My prayers are powerful and effective (2 Cor 5:21; James 5:16b).
2. God richly supplies all my financial needs (Phil
4:19).
3. I am dead to sin and alive to obeying God (Romans
6:11).
4. I walk in ever-increasing health (Isaiah 53:3-5).
5. I live under a supernatural protection (Ps 91).
6. I prosper in all my relationships (Luke
2:52)
7. I consistently bring God encounters to other people (Mark
16:17, 18)
8. Through Jesus I am 100% loved and worthy to receive all of Gods blessings (Gal 3:1-5).
9. Each of my family members is wonderfully blessed and radically loves Jesus (Acts 16:30.31)
10. I uproariously laugh when I hear a lie from the devil (Psalms 2:2-

Declarations #2: Declarations to Ignite Faith

Remember this: Faith is the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). God’s promises, not our circumstances, are our “evidence” for what is really true. We don’t deny negative facts in our lives, but we choose to focus on the higher reality of God’s truth. Faith indeed comes by hearing (Romans 10:17); therefore, we choose to speak these powerful truths to build our own faith (by doing so, we are believing that our experience will catch up to our beliefs as Romans 12:2 teaches us).
1. I set the course of my life with my words (James 3:2-5; Proverbs 18:21).
2. God is on my side; therefore, I declare that I cannot be defeated (Romans 8:37; Psalm 91; Philippians 4:13).
3. I am the head, not the tail. I have insight. I have wisdom. I have ideas and divine strategies. I have authority (Deuteronomy 8:18; Deuteronomy 28:13; James 1:5-8; Luke 10:19).
4. My family and those connected to us are protected from disasters, disease, divorce, adultery, poverty, false accusation, foolish decisions and all accidents (Psalm 91).
5. As Abraham did, I speak God’s promises over my life so that my faith is strengthened to possess all of God’s promises (Romans 4:17-23).
6. I have a sound mind. I think the right thoughts, say the right words, and make the right decisions in every situation I face (2 Timothy 1:7).
7. I expect to have powerful, divine appointments today to heal the sick, raise the dead, prophesy life, lead people to Christ, bring deliverance, release signs and wonders, and bless every place I go (the book of Acts).
8. I expect that today will be the best day of my life spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and financially in Jesus’ name (Romans 15:13).
* A note on these declarations: We won’t have something just because we say something, but saying something is necessary to having it. If at the beginning of the 40 days, you don’t understand fully why these three sets of declarations are important; then speak them by faith anyway. Some of the first devotionals will give clarity as to their importance.

Declarations #3: Speaking to Mountains

One of the main “methods” Jesus and the apostles used (in the gospels and Acts) was to SPEAK TO things. You will notice that they did not ask God to heal people, cast out demons, or raise the dead; but they spoke to bodies, demons, the wind, etc. Jesus encourages us to speak to mountains (Mark 11:23). This set of declarations specifically focuses on our speaking to different aspects of our lives.
1. Thank you, angels, for carrying out the Word of God on my behalf (Psalm 103:20).
2. All attacks that were headed my way are diverted right now through angelic protection in Jesus’ name (Psalm 91).
3. Just as Jesus spoke to the wind, I say, “Peace be still to my mind, emotions, body and family” (Mark 4:39).
4. I speak to every mountain of discouragement, stress, depression and lack, and say, “Be cast it into the sea in Jesus’ name” (Mark 11:22-24).
5. I say to this day, “You are blessed.” And I declare that I serve a mighty God, who today will do exceedingly and abundantly beyond all that I can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). I say you are a good God, and I eagerly anticipate your goodness today.
* A note on these declarations: We won’t have something just because we say something, but saying something is necessary to having it. If at the beginning of the 40 days, you don’t understand fully why these three sets of declarations are important; then speak them by faith anyway. Some of the first devotionals will give clarity as to their importance.

October 2012
The Favor of God.

We are talking about not just the Favor of God, but being God’s favorite!  Being favored and not just favored, but also HIGHLY favored!  It’s about having favorable expectations and favorable conditions as your expectations.

What is this intangible thing called “favor?”  Webster’s Dictionary defines it as such:

FA'VOR, noun. [L. favor, faveo.]
1. Kind regard; kindness; countenance; propitious aspect; friendly disposition.

2. Support; defense; vindication; or disposition to aid, befriend, support, promote or justify. To be in favor of a measure, is to have a disposition or inclination to support it or carry it into effect. To be in favor or a party, is to be disposed or inclined to support it, to justify its proceedings, and to promote its interests.

3. A kind act or office; kindness done or granted; benevolence shown by word or deed; any act of grace or good will, as distinguished from acts of justice or renumeration. To pardon the guilty is a favor; to punish them is an act of justice.

4. Lenity; mildness or mitigation of punishment.

5. Leave; good will; a yielding or concession to another; pardon.

6. The object of kind regard; the person or thing favored.

7. A gift or present; something bestowed as an evidence of good will; a token of love; a knot of ribbons; something worn as a token of affection.

8. A feature; countenance. [Not used.]

9. Advantage; convenience afforded for success. The enemy approached under favor of the night.

10. Partiality; bias. A challenge to the favor, in law, is the challenge of a juror on account of some supposed partiality, by reason of favor or malice, interest or connection.

FA'VOR, verb.t.

1. To regard with kindness; to support; to aid or have the disposition to aid, or to wish success to; to be propitious to; to countenance; to befriend; to encourage. To favor the cause of a party, may be merely to wish success to it, or it may signify to give it aid, by counsel, or by active exertions. Sometimes men professedly favor one party and secretly favor another.

2. To afford advantages for success; to facilitate. A weak place in the fort favored the entrance of the enemy; the darkness of the night favored his approach. A fair wind favors a voyage.

3. To resemble in features. The child favors his father.

4. To ease; to spare. A man in walking favors a lame leg.

Have you every said or had it said to you, “I  need a favor,” or “I need to ask a favor of you…”?  What is really being said?  What are you asking for, expecting with that statement?

You are asking for Preferential Treatment!    You are expecting a “Specialized, Specific Response, to a Certain Situation!”  When you ask for favor, you are throwing yourself on the mercy and kindness of the person you are asking.  You are asking for a favor, not based on your ability to repay, or on any specific behavior or trait that you have.
Remember that God’s Grace, is often defined many times as “unmerited.”
Let me clue you in to something. Favor is ALWAYS unmerited!  You can’t earn God’s favor.  You might buy or earn man’s favor, but if you do, it is fickle and fleeting.  But, God’s favor is steady and sustained in situations, especially situations HE has called you into!  When it is God’s favor in operation, it is beyond normal responses.

It is what Lance Wallnau calls, “God’s stickiness Factor.”  It is God pouring out that stickiness on you, so that people are drawn to you, and stuck on you to bless you, to do nice things for you, to bend or break general operating rules and make exceptions!  It makes YOU stick in their minds and hearts as first choice and first in line to receive things and blessings.

I want you to say this OUTLOUD:
“My Daddy GOD Loves me, and I am HIS Favorite!”  Say it again.  And keep saying it to yourself until you BELIEVE it.  You ARE His favorite!  Each one of us is His Favorite. He has a special place in His great big heart that is made just for you and in that place You Are His Favorite, and NO ONE can take your place there. EVER.

Have you got that? Do you believe it?  Because when you believe it, you will stop being jealous, and competitive against your brother, and you will stop regarding your sister as inferior just because she is female.   When this becomes living truth in your heart, then you can open yourself up to be a vessel of favor, so that God’s favor can flow through you to others, and thereby reap a double blessing.  For it is more blessed to give, but he who sows shall also reap!

Christ in us IS our favorable, confident Expectation of the Glory of God!
Do you need scripture to back that up? Here you go:
Col 1:27  to whom it was His will to make known how vast a wealth of glory for the Gentile world is implied in this truth--the truth that 'Christ is in you, the hope of glory.'

Do I expect to walk into places and receive extra attention, extra help?   You bet I do!
Of course, I expect a favorable response from God in any given situation, because
I AM HIS FAVORITE!

So, what are you expecting?

Love and Blessings,
Mama/Mummy Nancy

July 7,2012

We are going to do a little study and look at two words this month: Meat and Pleasure.

John 4:31(AMP)  Meanwhile, the disciples urged Him saying, Rabbi, eat something.
John 4:32 (KJV) But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
John 4:32 (AMP)  But He assured them, I have food (nourishment) to eat of which you know nothing and have no idea.
John 4:33  So the disciples said one to another, Has someone brought Him something to eat?
John 4:34 Jesus said to them, My (MEAT) food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work.

This word meat in the Greek is “Broma,” and it means in the literal sense, “that which is eaten.”  But, Christ is speaking in a wider sense here.  The Blue Letter Bible Lexicon interprets it like this: “That which truly delights and satisfies the mind.”

If I may, let me give you my own translation or take on this: “That which brings me the most pleasure, is doing what brings Him pleasure and that is the path of His Will for me.”

If we can wrap our minds around that, how happy we will be!

Christ pleased God in all ways.  (Matt. 3:17, Matt. 17:15, 1Pet. 1:17.) He did that as a Spirit filled man walking upon the earth, not as God in His Deity, but as Man, as God’s Son, or God’s “Man-God” Son if you will.  This means that we too can please God in all our ways.  Moreover, we do that by deciding that our “meat” or our sustenance and our nourishment is found in doing His Will and then choosing to do it.

Scripture tells us: Luke 12:23  The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

Truly this is so!  If we try to gain our lives by keeping them in constant comfort, we will lose them little by little to lost opportunities to follow Him, to do His Will, and to please Him, because we chose not to, because it did not “please us” to do so at that moment!

Likewise, we will miss out on receiving from God, the pleasure He desires to shower upon us.

There is a little worship chorus that I thought of as I was writing all this out for you.

Father of lights, You delight in Your children
Father of lights, You delight in Your children

Every good and perfect gift comes from You
Every good and perfect gift comes from You
Every good and perfect gift comes from You
Father of lights

Father of lights, You never change, You have no turning
Father of lights, You never change, You have no turning

Every good and perfect gift comes from You…

God Delights in us!  He delights to bless us, and show us Himself!

Luke 12:32  Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Pleasure:
1a) think it good, choose, determine, decide, 1b) to do willingly
1c) to be ready to, to prefer, choose rather
2) to be well pleased with, take pleasure in, to be favourably inclined towards one

Philipians 2:13 (AMP) [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.

Here the word pleasure means:
1) will, choice,  1a) good will, kindly intent, benevolence  2) delight, pleasure, satisfaction
3) desire

Now can you see that our pleasure and His pleasure are wrapped up together?  His intentions, as HE stated in Jeremiah 29:11 are for our good, our benefit and welfare.  And He takes great delight and derives immense satisfaction from blessing us, protecting us, defending us, etc.  In the same vein, when we know we are pleasing Him and walking after His precepts, there is a satisfaction and sense of fulfillment and a nourishment that takes place deep within, because we have joined ourselves to and with Him and are ONE.  Therefore, His Joy is OUR joy and there is a deep sharing that takes place, that comes from choosing to walk with Him in the Path of His choosing, which is in fact for our greater blessing!  And while we are being blessed, all those whose lives are touched by our obedience are in turn blessed as well.  Isn’t this simply beautiful?  He doesn’t make it hard!  His commandments are not grievous!  It is a joy and it is life giving “meat” to do His will.  Selah!  Pause, think, and meditate on this awhile!

March 3, 2012
It is time to rise up!  It is time for the voice of the Lord to go forth!  It is time for a ROAR to go across the Land.  It is TIME for each of you to TAKE YOUR PLACE and step into your destiny.  No longer be quiet, no longer be shallow, no longer be lukewarm.  In the face of such a strangling, smothering and wicked spiritual climate, you MUST be bold, you MUST speak with the Voice of God from the depths of your spirit.  It is time to DECREE.  It is time you came free.

Even as this month the Jewish people celebrate Purim, so to like Esther you must acknowledge and come to embrace that YOU have been created for such a time as this!  And by giving the King your voice, you CAN altar history and the course of a nation.

Stand up upon your feet and declare with conviction the following over yourselves and India:

I AM God’s mouthpiece!

I am a yielded vessel and I move by the Spirit of God and not by my own flesh, mind, will or emotions.

I do not speak my own words, I speak the Word of God.  And God has sworn to work with and to back up HIS WORD!

His Word does NOT return to Him void but it goes forth with Power to create and change and prosper those people, places and things that I send it to!

So this day, I boldly declare the Will of God over India.  I root up and tear down every word that is contrary to the Word of God.  I refute and destroy every argument that tries to stand against Christ, even those that come against me in my own mind.

I declare India you shall be saved. India You DO Love Jesus.  India, You reject deception and lies and awake to the Truth of God’s Word. India, you welcome Christianity. India you are hungry and ripe for Revival.  We call forth salvations and changed lives. I say, Blood Washed, Blood Bought India, You shall Be Saved. I prophecy to the dead bones of religion and caste society and We declare your stronghold to be NULL and VOID. We speak Life to you and over you, Zoe, God kind of Life, with no partiality, no prejudice, no segregation, no hatred.  We speak to the hearts and lives of Men Women, children, boys and girls and we command the mind binding spirits off of you, we command the blinders and shackles to be removed in Jesus Name. We decree the life of God and anointing that destroys every yoke to come upon you.  We speak And Decree Prophetic Destiny over you in Jesus Name!  Amen.

Nov,2011

From the Desk of Nancy Minor

I bring you warm wishes and greetings from the Saints here and around the world, of which I have the privilege of covering and sharing in fellowship with.  We are One Body- the Body of Christ and Joint Heirs and partakers of the Divine Mystery-Christ IN us the Hope of Glory!

I congratulate you on taking time to come aside and to gather together to refresh and refire.  I pray this time will give you more than you ever imagined!

Before I speak to you I should like to remind you that Sunday the 13th was the Int’l Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.  I gave a presentation Sunday and leading in prayer, and I want you to know that you were being remembered!

Next, I want to apologize. I had hoped to have a teaching on Harmony ready for you, and I do not have it done yet!  I actually have been ill off and on this past month, which has thrown me off schedule for completing that message.  However, I do have a teaching that I have given previously that I thought would be beneficial to you, so I have edited it, and present it to you now. Next month, I will try very hard to have part 3 of our lesson ready for you to devour!  Thank you for your sincere hunger and desire to receive more of Him.  God Bless each of you!

Now, I want to speak to you from the heart; His and mine.  You’ve come for a refreshing, you’ve come seeking “a Word” and a touch.  Some of you have come seeking an opportunity to expand your ministry through the connections you’ll make here.  You all have your own reasons for being here. We, Titus and I, are delighted you are here and look forward to our continued meeting together for growth, fellowship and unity in the Gospel.

However, I have even better news for you!  GOD has HIS own reason for you being here!  Moreover, I pray that as you continue to meet and gather that you will discover that very special reason and experience that His ways are NOT your ways and His thoughts are higher than your own.  But one of the most wonderful things about our Heavenly Father is that although He is God- the High and Lofty One of the Universe- HE bends down with His ear to hear our voices and draws us upward to hear His.  He has purposed to meet with you here- not for the sake of your ministries, nor for the advancement of your programs, or even so much as the desire that you have for self improvement.  Rather, He has come to draw you to Himself, to His Great Heart and to teach you its’ nuances and its’ cadence.  He has come to bid you to renew relationship with HIM.  This time you set apart to gather is not for seeking His help with all your preconceived agendas, but to seek HIM, the Lover of your soul!

Solomon said in Proverbs Wisdom is the principle thing. With all your getting, get understanding.  What is Wisdom? We are told by scripture that if it the fear of that Lord, that is reverential awe, respect and honor to and for Him. It all begins with our relationship with and to Him.  We also read that he who wins souls is wise, and the wise who turn many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.

We are told that while getting wisdom, we must also get understanding.  That is the practical application of knowledge.  You can have all the book knowledge and have multiple degrees, but still be a very foolish person, destitute in your soul. The Apostle John speaks about this when he says:  “Beloved I wish above all things that you mayest prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers.”  So, what is soul prosperity?

It is the state of being filled up to overflowing with no lacking of knowing by personal experience and reality of how loved and cherished you are by God Himself.  It is having your memories and wounds healed, and rewriting the story of your life with a bright and happy view! It is then being able to extend this acceptance and love to those around you.

This comes through relationship.  It is one thing to know about God, know about the scriptures, but quite another to have personal experience, reality and revelation in your heart!

Listen, there once was 10 girls… They had dreams of their futures.  They were “proper” girls, who learned all they could about cooking and sewing and even went to school. Their attendance was perfect and they studied hard and passed all their tests.  Their reputation was stellar!  They busied themselves with going to church and making a living and preparing for “Mr. Right.”  They all got engaged and were waiting for their marriages…but 5 of them missed their own wedding day because they were out shopping!  How can these be? Besides, these are just silly girls, what does this have to do with me?  What is the purpose of this story you ask?
Indeed there is a purpose!  Let’s look at it in scripture:

Mat 25:1  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Mat 25:3  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
Mat 25:4  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Mat 25:5  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
Mat 25:6  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Mat 25:7  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
Mat 25:9  But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

All were virgins- but Jesus said 5 were wise and 5 were foolish.  Let’s explore what sets them apart.

You all have lamps- lives that have accepted the Lord.  You have even consecrated yourself, living lives of ministry and in Service to the Lord.  You are busy in the things of the Lord. You are shining up those lamps!  No smudges!  You are proud of your lamps and want them to look their best, right?  Of course!

Ahh, but what was the difference in these 10 virgins?  Hmm, all were virgins; meaning they had kept themselves and were not polluting themselves with sexual trysts.  ( But are we polluting ourselves spiritually by attaching more importance to other things than to God?)

All had lamps.  Yes, each is given the lamp of the Holy Spirit when we are born again. And each had oil to start out with. He deals with us as we permit Him to, but many have turned down the volume to the Holy Spirit’s promptings to let Him into the closets and locked doors of our hearts and lives!

All had gone out to wait for and meet the Bridegroom with oil in their lamps.  They had oil for the start of their journey, in other words.  And time went on, and they waited.. Revelation tells us to “Occupy till He comes”, transact business as a banker is one translation of that.  So, they busied themselves with the affairs of their lives while they waited.  And they grew tired and fell asleep.  Even here, Jesus did not chastise or scold!

God is not interested in you burning yourselves out being busy and never taking time to rest or take care of your physical bodies.  So what DID set them apart?  They all heard the shout and they all quickly arose to go meet him.  Now we see here the 5 foolish found that their lamps had grown dim and were going or had gone out. They were busy shining them up and running around getting ready to go, but they did not take time to put oil INTO the lamps

Let me divert for a moment. Look at Luke 18:18-22

Luk 18:18  And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Luk 18:19  And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
Luk 18:20  Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
Luk 18:21  And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
Luk 18:22  Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Now we know how the rich young ruler reacted to what Jesus said.  What I want to point out that what Jesus was offering and what the 5 foolish virgins were lacking is the exact same thing.  The rich young ruler was a ruler… that meant that he was a Prince and had people serving him as well as those he ruled over.  He was not a bad guy, as we see he had carefully kept and done the letter of the law. Yet in his heart he KNEW there was more than this.

Let’s put the story it in ministry terms. He ( and the 5 foolish virgins) grew up and became a Christian ( a ruler) went into the ministry and had a church who looked up to him/them, people who served him and he/they were busy in the work of the Lord. He knew protocol ( as did the virgins.) He did everything that was required to be thought of well. He knew how to present himself, could pray impressive prayers and kick and shout with the best of them! He was rich by some standards and had the trappings of success.  Yet Jesus said he lacked one thing.  He told Martha that Mary had chosen the 1 thing that really mattered.

I know you’ve been taught the oil is the Holy Spirit.  But dig a little deeper with me, and go beyond the top layer, the religious knowledge and let’s go for a mystery.
The call to follow him, the need for oil, the ONE THING that was the most important, is all the same thing here!

Jesus did not dispute the good things about these people. He did not say that their work, their, activities were wrong or displeasing to him.  He simply said they all lacked 1 thing.

Too often what IS lacking is integrity and relationship. Integrity that is borne of relationship. I am not just speaking of integrity of character, but integrity of integral, fundamental, intrinsic foundation of personal relationship with God the father, with Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
There is no lack of spiritual activity, but of depth of relationship there is a famine. You must KNOW HIS LOVE FOR YOU!  He wants to pour it out upon you.

Some things can only begotten by spending time with someone.  Even in the natural, pregnancy results after intimacy!

Sell all you have( put aside every distraction and thief that would steal you from me) and follow ME. Become intimate with ME.  The wise virgins said, “Go buy oil for yourselves.”  Meaning, reality of relationship and intimacy with God for yourself.  How do you buy this oil? Where can you find it?

Isa 55:1  Wait and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing].
Isa 55:2  Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness [the profuseness of spiritual joy].
Isa 55:3  Incline your ear [submit and consent to the divine will] and come to Me; hear, and your soul will revive; and I will make an everlasting covenant or league with you, even the sure mercy (kindness, goodwill, and compassion) promised to David.

Come to the waters buy with out money… How do you do this and what are these waters?  Jesus is the Living Water.  You cannot buy what He is willing to freely give. But you cannot receive it if you will not spend time with Him.  You find it in the time you invest at His feet.  Just you and Him.

There is no shortcut to getting this oil.  There is no one who can give you some of their intimacy with God, some of their reality of relationship.  We can share many things that have come out of our time we’ve spent with Him, but we cannot fill your lamp for you.  We can teach, we can point you in the direction and tell you to go buy oil before it is too late.

I have so much more to share, but let this suffice for now. I pray that it will whet your appetite and that He will create a hunger in you- one that only HE can satisfy!

Like the Apostle Paul desiring to be with those he wrote to, I too desire to see you and say, “By the Grace of God, I hope to see your faces in His timing.”

May God Bless and keep you close to Him and may YOU Bless God and keep Him close to you!

Until next time we meet, whether by written page, other media or face to face, I admonish you as a Mother in the Lord to Grow in Grace and remain steadfast in Love and Faith.

Dear Ones,

Let us resume our study we began last time.  For those of you who missed the Premier meeting due to the torrential rain, I greet and welcome you now.  Please see Pastor Titus for a transcript of last month’s teaching.

Before, I begin; perhaps I should properly introduce myself? Yes, I shall do that.  My name is Nancy Minor. I am the wife of one Tom Minor, and we have been married for 33+ years. We have two grown children- sons Benjamin and Ola and MANY spiritual sons.  Part of my calling is to mentor and impart into the loves of others, especially those in ministry.  I am indeed humbled and honored to meet with you again and share from the Word and God’s Own Heart.  Hallelujah!

Now, please turn in your Bibles to Phil. Chapter 2.  We shall also look at John 17: 20 and a couple other passages.  Titus, will you please read Phil 2: 1-11 in the Amplified and translate. Thank you.

In verse 1 we see Paul exhorting them to stick together.  To build up one another, not tear each other down.  We are One Body. If you get a toothache or back ache in your natural body your whole body responds in sympathy and support to try and ease the stress and help support that weakened area.

So, too, when we each struggle or have our “Down Moments” we need each other to encourage, to speak words of Faith and strengthening to us!  There is nothing quite as refreshing as spending time with like minded and hearted folks talking about and sharing the things of God together!

Please keep in mind, Faith works, operates, gets its energy, if you will, from and by LOVE.  St John asks a serious question in 1John 4:20  How can we say we love God, yet we do not love, value or esteem our brothers and sisters whom we see daily?

(MSG)  If anyone boasts, "I love God," and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won't love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can't see?

That person is a hypocrite and a liar!  WE, dear ones, MUST set the example!  Those whom society has cast aside, calling them “untouchable,” worthless, etc. should be the very ones we are embracing and lifting up and treating with dignity and respect!  Not as one beneath us that we are showing benevolence to, but as one EQUALLY WORTHY of consideration and kindness because they are made in God’s image.  How much more so those of the Household of Faith?!

Next Paul talks about participation with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in John 15: 1-5 Jerusalem Bible translation
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in me that bears no fruit he cuts away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes to make it bear even more.
3 You are pruned already, by means of the word that I have spoken to you.
4 Make your home in me, as I make mine in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself, but must remain part of the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me, with me in him, bears fruit in plenty; for cut off from me you can do nothing.
Every time you submit yourselves to the Word and the Holy Spirit there is a pruning taking place!  The Holy Spirit is pruning away dead  and useless things so new life can spring forth!  Mindsets and thoughts that are contrary to the Word are being challenged. Will you let go of traditions of man and embrace fully the Life that is yours in the Word of God?
On trees are small branches that are incapable of bearing fruit, they just sap life and energy away from the fruit that is being produced.  Diversions that take strength and energy away from the overall purpose and call God has given you are sucking life away- those are what are called “sucker branches” and they must be pruned off.

We must participate with the Holy Spirit as He reveals God’s plans and purposes to us. We can have lots of “good ideas” but if they are not “God ideas” they will not produce It must be God’s idea, plan and purpose for us at that given time, if it is to succeed.

John 17 Jesus prays for us to be one. Jesus looked down through the portals of time to this time and place , this gathering of ministers and ministries and He PRAYED FOR US! Even as He sits at the right hand of God interceding for us now!  What did he pray?  That we might be ONE.  One with God. Let me point out something rather obvious, but as a reminder.  We never see Jesus doing anything contrary to the Father’s Will.  Likewise, the Holy Spirit never speaks contrary to the Word of God. The Logos. Rheme must line up with Logos.  Revelation will be borne out in scripture. Jesus IS the Word made flesh. So, Spirit and Word go hand in hand.  Father son and Holy spirit always agree with each other and work together. We are Spirit, soul and body  and these 3 must work together for each of us to thrive. And we must work with each other!
Read John 17:20-21
(CEV) I am not praying just for these followers. I am also praying for everyone else who will have faith because of what my followers will say about me.  I want all of them to be one with each other, just as I am one with you and you are one with me. I also want them to be one with us. Then the people of this world will believe that you sent me.

What does it mean to “be one?”  Well, in marriage it refers to an act of intimacy & joining two separate unique people into one expression of love and unity, from which comes the fruit of the womb as well as great joy and satisfaction.

So it is with us and God!  He desires and is looking for intimacy and secret communion with each one of us.  That just as Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit to produce a physical birth- we too shall be impregnated in our spiritual wombs to bring forth into the physical realm what God has ordained and desired to see manifest not only for our benefit but for that of mankind as well. And we shall have immense joy and satisfaction in this union and partnership with Him! And with those that God has called to be “Marvelous Comrades” with us.  We shall talk more of that next month.

Marriage is not just for our own selfish pleasure! It is part of the Kingdom of God being advanced here on earth!  It should be a sneak peek into how things operate in Heaven!

To participate is to take part in something. To be in agreement with and to contribute to it.  So Watch what you participate in!  Do you let gossip fill your ears, or worse yet, your mouth?  Do you contribute with cutting derogatory remarks about others?  This beloved, is the sin of murder! You are murdering them with your words. Stop!   Words carry power.  Proverbs  18:21 tells us clearly; Life and death are in the power of the tongue!

For example, if someone among you is attempting to do something good for the Kingdom, don’t speak evil or against it! Don’t say things like, “I doubt that it will ever work.” Or “They have bitten off more than they can chew.” ( meaning they have taken more upon them that you think they can handle.)  Instead bless them. Pray things like: “Father, Bless my brother or sister, Pastor ____. Strengthen them, give them Grace and Wisdom for what you’ve called them to do.”
Bless people, don’t speak curses with your mouth.

Pray together for the Gospel to go forth unhindered. Let there be no dis-harmony or dis-unity amongst you.

Contribute to one another by these means:  Speaking highly of one another.  Encouraging and building each other up.  Praying for each other and sharingideas and knowledge. What has worked for you? What has been successful? What has failed? Pool your knowledge and talents for reaching India for Christ!

You do not know how far you can go, or how far your actions will reach! All of India?  Beyond?  God knows!

Do not become weary in well doing, do not slacken the work, or become afraid to reach. (either out of fear or doubt.)  Reach Boldly- both in reaching up to God and outward to man!  God reaches down for you when you reach up your hand to Him and He reaches WITH and THROUGH you when you reach your hand out to man.
Reach and keep reaching, even as you keep casting your cares upon Him knowing He cares so very much about and for you.  He IS strengthening your grip and increasing your Grace for the race.

Next month we shall talk more on being one with each other, and what does Harmony really mean?

Until then, May the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of the Father and the Communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

Shalom.

Consolation: a calling near, summons, (especially for help)

Fellowship: From G2844; partnership, that is, (literally) participation,
fellowship, association, community, communion, joint participation

Fulfill: From G4134; to make replete, that is, (literally) to cram (gorge, stuff to over flowing)

Psa 133:1  <A Song of degrees of David.> Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psa 133:2  It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
Psa 133:3  As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Dwell: 3427  to sit down–specifically as judge to settle, to marry
Unity 1571, 3162  To gather, assemblange, a unit,  union, unitedness, all together

What are we judging?  We are judging our own flesh and bringing it under, captive to Christ.  We are judging the works of darkness and declaring they are defeated and cannot remain in the lives of the people we minister to. As judge we have authority and we sit as one sits in authority for we are seated with Christ, and bring captive every high and lofty thing that tries to rise up against the knowledge of Christ and we demand those things line up with the Word and come into obedience to Christ!  We settle and marry our Bridegroom and begin to operate as the BRIDE of CHRIST in this Land!

There God commanded the Blessing.  Where is “there?”  Was it a certain spot on the mountain?    Where is this place called “there?”  I will show you!

Mat 18:20
(AMP)  For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of them. Mat 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Luk 24:15  And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

Mal 3:16

(AMP)  Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name.
(MSG)  Then those whose lives honored GOD got together and talked it over. GOD saw what they were doing and listened in. A book was opened in God's presence and minutes were taken of the meeting, with the names of the GOD-fearers written down, all the names of those who honored GOD's name.

Mal 3:17
(AMP)  And they shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I publicly recognize and openly declare them to be My jewels (My special possession, My peculiar treasure). And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.
(MSG)  GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies said, "They're mine, all mine. They'll get special treatment when I go into action. I treat them with the same consideration and kindness that parents give the child who honors them.
